Jane Barthès Painter PARIS
Our story
About
Born in the south of France, I have always been attracted to color.
Coming to Paris, I first worked with felt-tip pens and chalks to create cinema posters, abstract drawings and then CD covers.
I then discovered acrylic while painting a drawing for my father who was in hospital.
From there, I started painting on canvas, influenced by modern art, Matisse and Picasso.

Vision
The idea of mosaics then comes to me:
Construction-Deconstruction-Reconstruction.
I build mosaics from a drawing cut into triangles,
then I paint on canvas and fill with glued white paper, thus creating shapes.
I then decided to integrate the shapes into the painting in order to deepen the work of color and the abstract (triangles) and narrative (geometric shapes) interaction.
Assignment
I simplify the lines and work on the resonance of the colors.
My spiritual approach and my desire for harmonization between the inner world (triangles) and the outer world (forms) aim to provide happiness and peace.
